The Institute:

Maharishi Kashyap Government Polytechnic, Jattal was established in 2017 by the Government of Haryana with the aim of promoting technical education in the Panipat region. At the time of its inception, the institute commenced its academic activities with two diploma courses, namely Computer Engineering and Textile Technology.

In 2018, in response to the growing demand for skilled manpower and evolving industry requirements, the institute introduced a Diploma course in Chemical Engineering. Subsequently, in 2019, the institute further expanded and restructured its academic offerings by introducing Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. In 2026, two new courses, Environmental Engineering and Apparel Design & Fashion Technology, are also introduced.

Over the years, the institute has developed the necessary academic and infrastructural facilities to support quality technical education. At present, Government Polytechnic, Jattal is offering seven diploma courses in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, Environmental Engineering and Apparel Design & Fashion Technology with an approved intake of 60 students in each course.

Since its establishment, Maharishi Kashyap Government Polytechnic, Jattal has continuously evolved in alignment with technological advancements and regional industry needs, with a strong emphasis on practical training, skill development, and enhancing the employability of its students.
