DEPARTMENT OF TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY
The Department of Textile Technology was established in 2017 with a clear vision of producing skilled, industry-ready technical professionals through its Diploma Programme. The introduction of the Textile Diploma Programme has significantly supported the growth of the textile industry by providing trained manpower in spinning, weaving, knitting, processing, garment manufacturing, and quality control. The curriculum is industry- oriented, emphasizing hands-on training, industrial visits, internships, and skill-based laboratory work. The department is supported by experienced faculty members who continuously guide students towards technical excellence and professionalism. Over the years, the alumni of the Department of Textile Technology have made remarkable contributions to the textile sector. The department also promotes industry–institute interaction, expert lectures, skill development programmes, and continuous curriculum improvement. Through these efforts, it contributes to the growth of the textile industry, employment generation, and the development of competent textile professionals.
